PICHOLINE REVIEWS

This superb villa, which is suitable for a family, is located in a quiet picturesque area of Provence. The infinity pool was amazing with plenty of seating areas both in the sun and shade. The villa is appointed to the highest standard and was spotlessly clean with excellent kitchen facilities. You can easily walk to the village for light provisions but there is quite an incline on the way back. An easy drive from NICE airport. We will definitely aim to return and explore more of the surrounding countryside and activities whilst enjoying all this fabulous villa has to offer. 5 stars+

Myself and my wife have had the great pleasure of staying at this villa beside the medieval village of Callian on several occasions. It is a converted farm house with terraced olive groves set on a beautiful hillside. This affords spectacular views over the valley towards the sea in the far distance. Also in the valley is the famous Terre Blanche golf resort and hotel-I believe voted best golf course in France 2017!! The house comfortably sleeps 8 (3 double and 1 twin) with a large open plan kitchen and outside BBQ area. Beside this is an infinity style swimming pool with decking area to sunbath. The house has an open fire, satellite TV, fully equipped kitchen and AC in all rooms. The kitchen comes fully equipped if you should want to cook. However the local village has several restaurants/bars as well as a small supermarket, chemist, bakery etc. We really enjoyed our walk into the village each day to buy our freshly baked bread and after an expresso in the square a slow walk back-when you see the hill you will understand but it gets your heart going!!! A nearby lake provides swimming and boating. There are many walks nearby or the coast is about 30 minutes away. Again close by in the valley are many excellent restaurants and large super markets. In conclusion this house provides an ideal location to sit and relax or explore the surrounding area on foot, by car or bicycle. We think it is fabulous.

We have just returned from our second visit to this amazing villa, having had a super holiday the first time around! Villa is perfect for families or friends to share - it’s well laid out with three bedrooms in the main house and a fab self contained annexe to the side. The kitchen and living area is open plan, but unlike other French rentals we’ve stayed at, the kitchen is modern and really well equipped. Living area has a massive Ligne Roset leather sofa, flat screen tv with English channels and there is good WiFi throughout. But it’s the outside that makes this villa special. Two dining areas, the larger one being beautifully appointed with a huge round table and a gas BBQ for cooking. Pool area is absolutely fabulous with far reaching views across the Var (?) valley. Plenty loungers around the spotless saltwater pool. There is also a really neat sitting area with settees, coffee table and parasol, perfect for enjoying a glass or two of rosé as the sun sets. Villa is within walking distance of the village, there is a small supermarket, bakery, pharmacy etc, Le Clerc is around 10 mins away in the car, or try the farmers market for really fresh produce! There are also a couple of good restaurants in the village and always seems to be a vibe in the evening. Be aware it’s a steep hill coming back but you’ll be so charmed by the starry skies you’ll hardly notice! If you can tear yourself away from the villa, and you have kids or are fearless, definitely make the effort to go down to Lac de Saint-Cassien. It’s around 20 minutes drive with free parking. Inflatable assault course on water, pedalos, SUP etc with an on site bar/snack restaurant. But there are just so many places to visit in this region - Verdon Gorge or take a day trip to Cannes etc We had a fantastic time, and even as mixed age group this villa suited us all.
